The ONE Campaign!

Y'all know the drill, add, leave comment, but, make sure you want to be added.

Seriously, look at my profile page, have things in common with me for Oz-sakes, be willing to talk, and be open minded -- we'll probably get along just fine.

Ok, first, yeah, I'm watching the MJ memorial thing -- finding it awesome and moving, but I'm better with squee. This is the way to have a funeral/memorial, full of music and memories -- a celebration of the person's life and love. ♥ (ps. anyone know who the beautiful asian woman is/was singing (now) during the we are the world-ending thing?)

HOLY CRAP! SPOILERS! )

my mind is a complex place. lol

so, the marine and i are/were trying to cast the Live Action version of Neon Genesis Evangelion... and got a bit sidetracked.

But, Kate Walsh is playing a blonde scientist of a super super confidential operation. Emily and Zooey Deschanel work with/for her and are siblings who are constantly trying to ~impress Kate.

Zac Effron is Shinji. Kristen Stewart (or Kristen Bell) is Rei. Amy Adams is Asuka (or, Lindsay Lohan if we're to listen to the boy). Gary Oldman as Gendo. Kate Walsh as Ritsuko. Emily Deschanel as Misato. Zooey Deschanel as Maya. Emile Hirsch as Toji. Shia LeBouf as Kaworu. Orlando Bloom as Kaji. Hayden Penitterre as Hikari. John Robinson as Kensuke. Sarah Michelle Gellar as Pen Pen (i suggested Kevin Smith, the marine's was funnier). ^_^ (I think we've got the vital characters covered.)

Oh, and it'll be shot / look like Speed Racer. 'cause that movie is DA BOMB!

Welcome to my month everyone, I hope it brings nothing but positivity. ^_^

Happy Birthday to Hilarie Burton! *giggle*

This song is totes about Kendra. *nods* *giggle*

...perhaps I should go to bed. lolz

You know, before, I was kinda iffy on the song -- I mean, it grew on me (as all Cobra Starship songs do), but now?! After this video? I AM IN LOVE!!!

There also needs to be talk of how amazing Leighton's legs look in this video. Ok, everything about all of them looks good, but really... REALLY just look.

Plus? Fun to sing. *nods**grins*

In other news, I bought a new laptop which I'm hoping arrives by Friday 'cause I hate waiting. It's not a MAC -- WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO?!

taken from [info]geonncannon's post @ [info]maddow_cox:

Dear (you) --

On Tuesday at 8 a.m., I will stand trial for speaking three truthful words: "I am gay."

On Tuesday, I will face a panel of colonels who will decide whether or not to fire me -- to discharge me for "moral and professional dereliction" under the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

On Tuesday, I will try to prove that it's not immoral to tell the truth.

As an infantry officer, an Iraq combat veteran and a West Point graduate with a degree in Arabic, I refuse to lie to my commanders. I refuse to lie to my peers. I refuse to lie to my subordinates.

My case requires that I provide personal testimony from people who can attest to my character. That's why several members of my military unit have written letters of support and offered to testify on my behalf.

Now I need your help. ANYONE who believes the Army should not fire me can take a stand right now. I am bringing a statement of support to Tuesday's trial and I need you to add your signature to it. Will you support me by signing this statement before Tuesday?

http://www.couragecampaign.org/SupportDan

I want to thank the 141,262 people who have signed the "Don't Fire Dan" letter launched a few weeks ago by the Courage Campaign and CREDO Mobile to President Obama, asking him to take leadership to bring this tragic policy to an end.

The momentum is building. This week, 77 members of Congress signed a letter to the President citing my service as an example of why DADT should be repealed. And a Gallup poll was recently released showing that 69 percent of Americans -- including 58 percent of Republicans - favor allowing openly gay men and lesbian women to serve their country .

As I learned at West Point, deception and lies poison a unit and cripple a fighting force. That's why more than 70 of my fellow West Point graduates have also come out of the closet to join Knights Out, the organization I co-founded to build support for the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell".

The only way we will eventually overturn "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is by speaking up together. You can help me fight back right now by adding your name to my statement of support. On Tuesday morning, I will bring your signature -- and thousands of others -- to my trial as a demonstration of your collective support:

National security means many things, but the thing that makes us secure in our nation and homes is love. What makes me a better soldier, leader, Christian and human being is love. And I'm not going to hide my love.

Love is worth it.

Thank you for your support.

Posting 'cause it's 3OH!3's brand new video. 'cause I've been insanely in love with these boys for a LONG time now. 'cause the video is random and weird and campy as all get out. 'cause I think that Sean is loin quiveringly hot.

Lets all forget my use of loin there, ok? Thank you. *grins* ;)

Not everyone will like the song or the video, I don't care. :P My journal, my rules!

Just in case peeps haven't seen it yet, Hilarie did an interview about her not coming back.

contains spoilers, but they're good ones )

IDK, that made me feel better about everything, at least on Hilarie's side. :)

Because it's my journal and I'm allowed to post whatever I want to AND because these two have been my girls for over six years now... Peyton & Brooke in last night's episode:

This relationship has always been one of the most organic and natural relationships on television. They love each other truly and wholly, and always have -- especially when they were fighting over stupid boys. Sophia and Hilarie are/were the powerhouses of the show and every time they were on screen together it is/was an explosion. Now, I was/am a shipper of Brooke/Peyton ('cause I just prefer relationships that will never happen), and as such think their lives and storyline would've been much better if they just somehow managed to live together for the rest of their lives. But, that said, I am truly grateful for what we've been given in regards to them. While boys, parents and other people came and went in their lives, B. Davis and P. Sawyer's lives were always intertwined -- they rotated around each other. So, while it would've been so easy for the show to have gone to where I (and many others) wanted, I'm glad that they never took the step to dating because, once that happens in television land, that's when everything goes down hill. It happened with Pacey/Joey (seriously, they were my "long shot" pairing of choice way back when. and when they hooked up, it was SUCH JOY! Then... the writers of the show made me wish it had never happened. So, I'm thankful to Marc for giving us a way to believe in Brooke and Peyton's love, and letting it go untainted by petty petty drama.

I'm far too attached to this show. lolz and I haven't even been watching it lately.
